Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect when you visit this site, why, and the choices you have.
Keystone Exit is a practice of Management System Improvements, LLC (“MSI, LLC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit keystoneexit.com(the “Site”) or contact us, request our guide, book a call, or use the exit-readiness assessment. It does not apply to the confidential information you share with us under a separate engagement or advisory agreement, which is governed by that agreement.
By using the Site, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and operate the Site.
Information you provide
- Contact & booking details — your name, email, phone, company, and any message you send when you book a call, email us, or fill out a form.
- Email sign-ups — the email address you give us to receive the guide or occasional insights.
- Assessment responses — the answers you select in the free exit-readiness assessment. The assessment runs in your browser and produces a directional score; we do not receive your individual answers unless you choose to share them with us (for example, on a call).
Information collected automatically
- Privacy-friendly analytics. We use a cookieless analytics tool (Plausible) and performance monitoring (Vercel Speed Insights) that measure aggregate, anonymized usage — pages viewed, referring source, device type, and approximate region. These tools do not use cookies, do not track you across other sites, and do not collect personally identifying information.
- Server & security logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs technical data such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps for security, fraud-prevention, and reliability.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not sell or rent your information.
2. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry, schedule and conduct a call, and provide the materials you request.
- To send the guide or insights you have asked to receive (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
Our lawful bases (where applicable) are your consent, our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Site, and compliance with legal obligations. We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
3. Cookies & tracking technologies
The Site stores a small preference value in your browser’s local storage to remember your light/dark theme choice. This is not used for tracking. Our analytics are cookieless. Because we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, there is no targeted-advertising profile to opt out of. The Site honors browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals to the extent our tools support them.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the Site and serve you:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations — e.g., our hosting platform (Vercel), scheduling tool (Calendly), email/newsletter provider, and analytics provider. They may process your information only to provide their service to us.
- Legal & safety — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MSI, LLC, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Third-party services & links
When you book through our scheduling tool or follow a link to a third-party site, that party’s own privacy policy governs the information you provide there. We are not responsible for the practices of sites we do not operate. Review their policies before providing information.
6. Data retention
We keep contact and inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterward for our records, then delete or anonymize it. We keep newsletter data until you unsubscribe. Aggregate analytics are retained in non-identifying form.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including HTTPS and reputable infrastructure providers) to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. We honor these rights regardless of where you live.
- California (CCPA/CPRA). California residents may request access, deletion, and correction, and may opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
- Other U.S. states & jurisdictions. Residents of states or countries with comparable laws may exercise equivalent rights.
To exercise any right, email david@keystoneexit.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International visitors
We operate in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised Policy.
